The globe is engraved with the following words: “To Paghtasar from her sister Remsime 1200”.
The Council of Dvin in 584 established the liturgical calendar of the Armenian Church, leading the Armenian era to begin in 551 of the Christian era. The conversion is therefore 1200 + 551, i.e. 1751.
